A bit about our hero Acid Reflux Man.
He has Gastroesophageal reflux disease on steroids.
It's also known as GERD. A condition whereby the liquid on the stomach
backs up, or refluxes into the esophagus and onto his foe.
He can control this process in ways science has yet to understand.
The liquid can damage and destroy almost any surface if
the right food is consumed beforehand.
The lining of his esophagus is extra strong
so he suffers no damage to his throat.
The regurgitated liquid usually contains acid and
pepsin that are produced by the stomach.
Pepsin is an enzyme that begins the digestion of proteins in the stomach.
The refluxed liquid also may contain food particles and bile
which have backed-up into the stomach.
He uses his duodenum as a catapult for vomit.
It's the first part of the small intestines.
He has many ways of propelling vomit and vexing an enemy.
